Akim of the region Murat Ergeshbayev visited a number of facilities in the city to inspect the progress of preparations for the upcoming heating season.
First, he visited the new combined heat and power plant built with the support of the Head of State. The Turkish company «Aksa Energy» invested 215 billion tenge in the construction of the new plant, which produces 240 MW of electricity and 277 Gcal of thermal energy.
As part of the project, 3 gas turbine units with a capacity of 185 MW, a steam turbine with a capacity of 55 MW, 3 boilers producing 127 tons of steam per hour, and 2 hot water boilers with a capacity of 150 Gcal/hour were installed.
To date, the plant is fully operational, generating 240 MW of electricity. In addition, 4 hot water boilers have been launched. In the upcoming heating season, city residents will be provided with heat through the new station.
The Akim of the region also familiarized himself with the reserves of the coal transportation operator «Olzhas-2005» LLP. Currently, 6.5 thousand tons of solid fuel have been delivered. There are 2 thousand tons in the warehouse, and 7 wagons of coal are in transit.
After that, the head of the region inspected the ongoing repair work carried out at Gymnasium School No. 1 named after K. Mukhamedzhanov. The school's sports hall, small hall, and locker rooms have been renovated. The readiness of the regional hospital was also checked.
Following the inspection, responsible heads of sectors were instructed to keep preparations for the heating season under strict control.
It should be noted that 5.5 billion tenge has been allocated this year for the modernization of heat supply facilities. These funds are directed towards completing the modernization of 8.7 kilometers of heating networks, major repairs of gas turbine units No. 1 and No. 2, modernization of 1.3 kilometers of heating networks, repair of 1 boiler house and 1 turbine, as well as 10 autonomous boiler houses and main and auxiliary equipment.
During the heating season, 92 thousand tons of coal will be required for the population, 19 thousand tons for social facilities, totaling 111 thousand tons of coal. To date, regional operators are replenishing coal reserves in accordance with the approved schedule.
1,079 social facilities in the region are 98 percent ready for the critical period.
