🤖 Working Meeting on Strengthening Cybersecurity and Kazakhstan’s Digital Resilience Held in Astana

Representatives of government agencies, information security operations centers, specialized organizations, and key sectors of the economy took part in the discussion.

Participants discussed the development of the national cybersecurity system, improvements to legislation, and the introduction of new information security requirements. Particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation between government agencies and organizations in detecting and preventing cyber threats.

One of the key priorities is the transition from formal compliance with requirements to practical cyber resilience. With the rapid development of digitalization and artificial intelligence, protecting data, information systems, and critical infrastructure is becoming increasingly important.

Another important area is improving citizens’ cybersecurity awareness and culture. September 2026 is planned to be designated as Cyber Culture Month. The initiative will focus on raising awareness of modern digital threats and developing digital hygiene skills.

One of the key events will be the international conference “Cyber Culture as a Standard: Redesigning the Security Model,” which will take place in Astana on September 4–5. The program will include CyberAwareness Day, an interactive cyber range, training simulators, a deepfake laboratory, and demonstrations of modern phishing and deepfake attack techniques.

The main objective is to make Kazakhstan’s digital environment safer and more resilient by bringing together technology, legislation, the work of cybersecurity professionals, and users’ personal responsibility.
